Joshua Elias

Joshua Elias (b.Chicago; studio and life is presently based in Los Angeles) is a lyrical abstract painter whose large-scale oil-on-linen works explore memory, materiality, and interior cartography. Recent exhibition presently at 3.1 Liminal in Saissac France. As well in Healdsburg Ca, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, and a True Colors show at LewAllen Galleries in Santa Fe. Current works focuses on suspended spaces,metaphorical maps and ‘present day’ created Myths. Elias works at his studio in the Brewery Arts Complex, where he continues to experiment and play with paint-making, emerging forms and poetic reflection.
